7) Wolverine vs. Spider-Man
The Crossover: After Deadpool, the next X-Men character we want Spidey to meet on the big screen is Wolverine. Unlike the Merc with the Mouth, there’s not a lot of similarity between Peter and Logan – which is exactly what makes them an irresistible pairing.
When they’ve met in the comics, Wolvie and Spidey haven’t seen eye to eye at first, but eventually come to a begrudging respect. Despite Hugh Jackman’s imminent departure from the role, we’d love to see him turn up in a Spider-Man movie. Just like he almost did many years ago.
Likelihood – 5/10: Unfortunately, we don’t have much faith in this one happening any time soon. As we just said, Jackman seems set on bowing out of the role, which rather puts the dampers on future crossover potential. Though, without Jackman, it’s just about possible that Fox could give the Wolverine character back to Marvel. In which case, a Spider-Man/Wolverine team-up could happen – just with a new actor in the role.
