Thanos armor in Avengers Infinity War

Avengers 4 Will Feature Another Character From Thanos’ Creator

Comic book legend Jim Starlin has teased that one of his other creations might be joining Thanos in Avengers 4 - but who could it be?

Destiny has finally arrived for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s taken the form of Josh Brolin’s Thanos.

Otherwise known as the Mad Titan, the purple-skinned alien is ostensibly death incarnate, and the fact that he’ll stop at nothing until half of the universe is eviscerated leaves Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in quite the pickle.

And so we arrive at Avengers: Infinity War, the recent MCU blockbuster that placed Iron Man, Thor, Cap and the rest of the gang on a collision course with Thanos, who’s without a doubt one of the most nuanced and fully realized comic book villains we’ve seen in quite some time. Even if he is the very definition of an unstoppable force.

And while the Mad Titan will certainly be back for Avengers 4, it’s now sounding as if he’ll have some company, as comic book icon Jim Starlin – who created Thanos – has said that another one of his characters will be appearing in the sequel as well. During a Q&A at Puerto Rico Comic Con, he was asked about the pic and teased that he’ll be receiving more credits for it than he did for Infinity War.

Given that he received 3 credits in April’s blockbuster – for Thanos, of course, and also Drax and Gamora – we can only assume that the fact that he’s going to be getting more for Avengers 4 means that some of his other creations will be included in the film. At the very least, we’ll probably see one more Starlin character who wasn’t in Infinity War.

Who else might be showing up is obviously unknown at this stage, but the two most probable candidates seem to be A’lars, Thanos’ father who was name-checked in the last film, or possibly Death, given how closely she’s tied to the Mad Titan in the comics. Then again, with Starlin having so many creations to his name – Pip the Troll, Starfox, Korvac, etc. – there are a ton of possibilities.

For now, we’ll just have to wait and see, but until we learn more, feel free to head on down to the comments section and let us know which Jim Starlin character you think might show up in Avengers 4 alongside Thanos.
