Avengers: Endgame Received A Standing Ovation At Its World Premiere

At long last, Marvel is finally ready to show Avengers: Endgame to the world - and all the signs are pointing to it being worth the wait. In fact, at the end of the screening, the entire cast came up on stage and received a “rapturous” standing ovation from the crowd. That’s according to Variety’s Ramin Setoodeh, who captured the moment in a photo which he shared on Twitter. You can see the enormous group of Marvel stars on stage in the snap below, along with a glimpse of the many fans on their feet.

It’s hard to make out all the faces in this pic, but we bet that there were a few surprises up there that we aren’t expecting to see in Endgame. For instance, Natalie Portman attended the premiere, which got some theorizing that she might return as Jane Foster for the first time since 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. It’s difficult to identify if the actress is part of this line-up, but if any of you have eyes like Heimdall, you’re welcome to inspect the image yourself.

As you’ve surely seen already, the first reactions to Endgame on social media are promising us a truly unique and special experience. The film’s so far been described as “wholly satisfying,” “astonishing,” “masterful” and a movie that will “forever change the MCU and how cinematic universes are seen.” That’s a big claim which we might have had trouble believing, if Avengers: Endgame hadn’t been so perfectly set-up by last year’s Infinity War, a movie that already raised the bar on its own.
