Avengers: Endgame Toy Confirms Return Of A Dusted Hero

With the possible exception of Thor, no hero gets more flak for their mistakes in Avengers: Infinity War than Peter Quill. But while the God of Thunder will still be around in Avengers: Endgame to process his guilt, Star-Lord proved to be one of the many victims of his own blunder, turning to dust as a member of the universe’s purged population.

Nonetheless, it’s long felt inevitable that we haven’t seen the last of Peter and his peers, and sure enough, a new toy leak seems to confirm that the character will be present once more for the Infinity War sequel. As you’ll see in the pics below, a new Star-Lord action figure is on the way, to be sold alongside the equivalent products for Black Widow, Iron Man, Valkyrie and based on previous leaks, a whole load of other heroes.

Indeed, though it was always a safe bet that the victims of the snap weren’t gone for good, actor Dave Bautista seemed to indicate that Peter specifically would likely have a part to play in Endgame when he mentioned last year that we “definitely see more Guardians in the upcoming Avengers.” As for Chris Pratt’s Guardians of the Galaxy co-stars, while Nebula and Rocket were among the survivors of Infinity War, various reports and behind-the-scenes material has also made it clear that Gamora and Mantis will also be getting some screen time.

With this many Guardians looking to return, surely the film can complete the line-up with a Groot comeback, especially when the delay of Vol. 3 suggests that it could be a few years before we see the team again. We’ll find out for sure though when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
