As you may recall, the first Endgame trailer left us on a cliffhanger when it came to the fate of Iron Man, who was shown to be stuck drifting through space and running out of oxygen. Obviously, though, there was no way that Robert Downey Jr.’s character would go the whole of Marvel’s Phase 3 finale without suiting up once more. And while the second full trailer showed the hero back on Earth with his peers, this morning’s preview goes one better by bringing us some footage of Iron Man soaring above the city.

Later on, we also get a shot of Tony wandering through some wreckage while unmasked in his outfit. There’s already been a fair amount of speculation, partly based on last month’s trailer, that this landscape is actually the rubble of a destroyed Avengers Compound. And while the devastation may seem a little too widespread in the new footage to simply be the remnants of the HQ, this would hardly be the first time that Marvel has altered a backdrop in a trailer to avoid spoilers.

In any case, there’s a very good chance that Tony’s new suit of armor will be his last, since it’s widely predicted that he’ll be exiting the franchise after this next film. If so, then we’ll find out if he can at least live to see the end of the MCU’s current era when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
