Production on Avengers: Infinity War is now officially underway in Atlanta, and while the Russo brothers released an infuriating first look at the movie’s “trailers” yesterday, Sean Gunn has now taken to Instagram to tell us that he’s arrived on set. So, that confirms Rocket Raccoon’s involvement, but take a closer look at the actor’s cap (in the photo below) and you’ll notice something interesting.
That does indeed appear to be a new logo for the film, and while it obviously doesn’t tell us anything about the movie itself, it’s interesting to note that the classic “A” logo is being used in the title. Since it’s so recognizable now, could it be that Marvel Studios has decided to release the movie simply under the name of Infinity War?
[zergpaid]It would make sense, especially when you take into account the fact that this is more than just an Avengers movie. After all, the Guardians of the Galaxy will play a key role as will heroes like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, while the comic book trilogy this movie is based on never used the “Avengers” prefix in the first place. We won’t know for sure until more marketing material starts to roll out, but it’s entirely possible that this is just a temporary logo rather than the one which will adorn future merchandise for the massive sequel.
Either way, take a look at Gunn’s photo below and let us know if you dig the new logo for Avengers: Infinity War, which is now shooting in Atlanta and will land in theaters on May 4th, 2018.
