New Avengers: Infinity War Images Tease The Beginning Of The End

Empire Magazine has uncovered a fresh batch of images for Avengers: Infinity War, teasing Thanos, Wakanda and plenty of story clues.

In keeping with tradition, Empire Magazine is on the verge of launching its latest issue into the wild. And as is often the case, a number of subscribers have gotten their copies earlier than expected to offer a sneak peek at this month’s cover star: Avengers: Infinity War.

As reported by CBM, the upcoming issue of Empire is packed to the rafters with Infinity War content, including a number of never-before-seen action shots of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes doing what they do best: saving the world from the brink of destruction.

But in the words of Joe and Anthony Russo, when it comes to Avengers: Infinity War, the stakes have never been higher, so it’s small wonder why viewers are beginning to fear that their favorite crusaders are at risk of being bumped off. Vision, Captain America, and even Iron Man have been floated as potential casualties, while below you’ll find yet another Infinity War preview that assembles most, if not all of the Avengers and their newfound allies, the Guardians of the Galaxy, who are expected to take a backseat when the lights go down on April 27th.

A couple of things to note. First, the gallery shows a haggard Bruce Banner standing next to Captain America (Nomad) in Wakanda, all but confirming that, in a strange twist of fate, Mark Ruffalo’s Jade Giant will be the one to pilot the famous Hulkbuster armor late next month. There’s also a cool shot of the teenage Groot lounging in the Milano, and it’s all but certain that he’ll be bringing some levity to the otherwise apocalyptic sequel.

Either way, we’ll be able to see what all the fuss is about once Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th – or April 26th, if you happen to be located in the United Kingdom.
