Avengers: Infinity War Scribes Tease An Appearance From Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Rocket Raccoon

It's pretty obvious that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be crammed full of characters, but one rumour which remains unconfirmed is the fact that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be making an appearance. Considering their own history with Thanos, it's hard to imagine them not teaming up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but it still remains to be seen at this stage.

It’s pretty obvious that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be crammed full of characters, but one rumour which remains unconfirmed is the fact that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be making an appearance. Considering their own history with Thanos, it’s hard to imagine them not teaming up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but it still remains to be seen whether or not that will actually happen.

Talking during a recent interview to promote the release of Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War co-writer Christopher Markus seemingly confirmed that we’ll see members of the Guardians team after mentioning his and Stephen McFeely’s approach to writing characters like Thanos, The Vision…and Rocket Raccoon.

“Whether they’re a 12-foot purple guy, or a raccoon, or an android, they’re all people, and we’re going to write them as people. You can’t write them any other way. So, ideally it will stay grounded because you’ll completely understand why the characters are doing what they’re doing, and you will in some way or another empathize.”

So, while that’s not exactly officialy confirmation, it’s still a pretty good sign that the Guardians of the Galaxy will indeed be teaming up with the likes of Captain America and Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War. The thought of Tony Stark and Rocket Raccoon exchanging barbs in this movie is particularly appealing, so here’s hoping Markus and McFeely make it happen.
