Sebastian Stan’s Favorite Bucky Line Will Bring A Tear To Your Eye

MCU stalwart Sebastian Stan has named his favorite Bucky line from the MCU, and it'll no doubt bring a tear to your eye.

“Who the hell is Bucky?”

The once-ironclad friendship between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes is the very definition of an MCU bromance – hell, it’s partially responsible for the wedge driven between Cap and Iron Man during Marvel’s Civil War.

But there’s a moment in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, not long after the Bucky’s brainwashed super-soldier has escaped into the wild, when Sebastian Stan’s anti-hero turns to his childhood friend and utters the heartbreaking line, “who the hell is Bucky.” Oh, right in the feels.

Turns out it’s actually Stan’s favorite ever line from the MCU, as he revealed on the latest episode of Earth’s Mightiest Show while promoting the home video release of Avengers: Infinity War. The reveal came as part of a rapid-fire section in which the actor answered a series of MCU-related questions about Bucky, Steve Rogers and everything in between.

And so, when asked to name his favorite line of dialogue from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sebastian Stan chose one close to his heart, as the revelation that the brainwashed Bucky no longer remembers Steve Rogers (or even his past self) is a true bombshell, and further proof that The Winter Soldier is among the very best that the MCU had to offer – not least because it signaled Joe and Anthony Russo’s first stint behind the camera for the franchise, which will culminate (?) with Avengers 4 next year. Let’s just hope Bucky’s resurrected in time for that final brawl with the visibly wounded Thanos.

Closer to home, Avengers: Infinity War beams onto Blu-ray and DVD next Tuesday, August 14th. And if you simply can’t wait, you’ll be pleased to know that the MCU’s crowning achievement is already available via Digital means.
