Ben Kingsley In Talks For Ender’s Game
Sir Ben Kingsley is in talks to play Mazer Rackham in Ender’s Game, the upcoming film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel of the same title. Kingsley will be joining a cast that consists of Asa Butterfield (Ender Wiggin), Hailee Steinfeld (Petra Arkanian) and possibly Harrison Ford (Colonel Graff).
Casting for Ender’s Game has been a hot topic recently, after the recent announcement that the film would indeed be getting made. If Ben Kingsley is cast as Mazer Rackham, he’ll be the fourth well-known and highly-celebrated actor whose name is connected to the film.
I love the Ender’s Game series, and I’m really hoping that director Gavin Hood can come through with a solid film. At least the cast is shaping up to be a steel curtain; hopefully they can make for any other shortcomings that such a difficult-to-make film could produce.
