When we reached out to the studio for an official comment they refused to say anything, obviously. But still, if it does happen, it wouldn’t surprise us. Cooper is extremely hot at the moment and his star is shining very bright. He already has a good relationship with WB and they’ve wanted him in the past for the role, so what’s to say they’re not going back to him now?
We know that Warner Bros. has been struggling with Justice League recently, having trashed the original script and attempting to bring Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale on board so that the film has some star power. It’s clear that the film needs a bit of help getting off the ground and trying to snag Cooper might be a smart move, as he’d be a huge draw for audiences. For now though, we’ll have to wait and see if this rumour pans out.
Personally, I can easily see Cooper in the role. He’s an extremely versatile actor who seems capable of nailing just about any genre. I’d love to see him suit up for Justice League and I really hope that this turns out to be true because I think it could work out very well.
