In case you hadn’t heard, James Franco is bringing the story of the best worst movie to the big screen. That movie is Tommy Wiseau’s hideous attempt at filmmaking known as The Room, an effort so terrible that it led to a maelstrom of interest surrounding the production of such a colossal dud. Hence, Greg Sestero’s book on the making of the picture that’s since gone on to serve as the basis for Franco’s movie The Disaster Artist, which as now added Bryan Cranston to its A-list cast roster.
Sestero himself announced the news via Facebook, confirming that the Breaking Bad star is now involved somehow in the production. Seen in the above pic alongside fellow co-stars Franco, Dave Franco and Alison Brie, there’s as yet no word on who Cranston is in line to play, but with clout such as his does it matter that we know his character’s name yet?
Co-starring Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Ari Graynor, Andrew Santino, Zac Efron, Kate Upton, Josh Hutcherson, Hannibal Burress, Sharon Stone and Jacki Weaver, The Disaster Artist is currently filming ahead of its release date sometime later this year.
