With Comic-Con 2013 imminent, now is the time for studios to bring out the big guns and show us what they’ve got in store for this year. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a high priority for Lionsgate. The sequel in the middle of a trilogy which looks set to make everyone involved extremely wealthy, is gearing up to wow with a range of new character posters to whet your appetite.

This latest selection of images arrive to make sure we’re all acquainted with the contestants for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and in particular, the Quarter Quell in which they’ll all take part. The sequel follows on from the events of the first flick, this time Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is thrown back into the games as the 75th Quarter Quell, a special version of The Hunger Games held every 25 years, brings back previous Victors to compete once more. Sounds a trifle unfair but made for a second book which was far more exciting than the first.

Cast your eye over the gallery of contestants and you’ll see….they’re not all in their early twenties! It’s a neat twist, bringing back old victors into the game. It’ll make a pleasant change seeing a load of oldies battle it out.

If you’re unfamiliar with the film, you can check out the plot summary below:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released worldwide on November 22nd.
