Earlier today, we learned that a new voice actor had been found for Colossus in Deadpool, and now we actually get to hear him speak for the first time in a brand new TV spot for the highly anticipated movie.
Considering the fact that he was practically a mute when Daniel Cudmore played him during glorified cameo appearances in the X-Men movies, the fact that he finally has a Russian accent should come as a huge relief to fans annoyed at the lack of comic book faithfulness Bryan Singer has shown when it comes to this character over the years.

However, Colossus saying a single line of dialogue is far from the biggest highlight in this first TV spot for Deadpool. We also get a ton of a great new scenes which will presumably be part of the trailer that’s being released on Christmas Day, and they really emphasize the movie’s unique tone, while the reason for Wade Wilson suiting up as Deadpool is also made clear.
Fox has certainly done a great job of keeping the focus on Deadpool this month, butwhether or not that will pay off at the box office next year obviously remains to be seen.
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12th, 2016.
