David Hasselhoff Joins Piranha 3DD

David Hasselhoff has been added to the list of confirmed actors. This announcement will definitely help set the tone for the sequel to one of the goriest films of 2010. Piranha 3D worked so well because director Alexandre Aja managed to find a balance between a completely cheesy and fun summer movie crossed with an extremely gory horror movie. I hope that they can recreate the same fun that was had in Piranha 3D by bringing back some of the original cast and signing on a whole bunch of crazy icons like Hasselhoff and Busey.

Piranha 3DD news seems to be spilling out left and right these days. First, we reported about Gary Busey joining the cast. And now What’s Playing is reporting that David Hasselhoff has been added to the list of confirmed actors. Piranha 3D worked so well because director Alexandre Aja managed to find a balance between a completely cheesy and fun summer movie crossed with an extremely gory horror movie. I hope that they can recreate the same fun that was had in Piranha 3D. And it looks like they may be able to by bringing back some of the original cast and signing a whole bunch of crazy icons like Hasselhoff and Busey.

Piranha 3DD is being directed by John Gulager (Feast) and will be released on November 23rd, 2011. Check of the mini press release below:

David Hasselhoff heads back to the water in this year’s PIRANHA 3DD.  He joins the previously announced cast which includes Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner.

Trading in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” for terror at The Big Wet Water Park, Hasselhoff will face off with the flesh eating fish of PIRANHA 3DD.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
