The past week has been a major one for Disney Plus, particularly when it comes to new Marvel content. Last Friday delivered Black Widow while Wednesday brought the season finale of Loki. Today’s haul might not feature anything as massive as those two titles, but there’s still much to enjoy amongst the 12 fresh movies and TV shows that debuted on the platform this Friday, July 16th.
For starters, it’s a great day if you’re a fan of sharks as half of the new titles dropping today are National Geographic documentaries and docuseries focusing on the predators of the sea. The latest episode of Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted also debuts, with the travelling chef this week venturing to Iceland.
Moving on, there are likewise a bunch of the newest episodes of D+’s ongoing series (those that started before the new initiative to premiere TV episodes on Wednesdays began) to enjoy, including High School: The Musical: The Series, Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Mysterious Benedict Society. Things are heating up over on The Bad Batch, in particular, with only two episodes left to go after today’s.
The lone film going up this Friday is We Bought a Zoo. This charming family comedy-drama from 2010 stars Matt Damon as a recently bereaved father who decides to renovate a closed-down zoo with the help of his two kids. Scarlett Johansson co-stars as the zookeeper love interest to Damon’s character, making this one perfect for those looking for more fresh ScarJo content after Black Widow‘s arrival last weekend.
