Unfortunately, the video above doesn’t actually contain any footage from the movie, but it does serve as a great teaser ahead of the trailer’s release next week. In addition to that, the studio has also released the first official synopsis for the movie, which gives us a much better idea of what we should expect from the J.K. Rowling penned spinoff:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be released on November 18th, 2016, and the impressive cast also includes Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove and Colin Farrell.
