More of the same? Yup, it looks that way. Today we have the first trailer for a movie that really should have never been made, Final Destination 5. This installment of the Final Destination series is about a man who saves his coworkers and others from a bridge disaster and like usual everyone who survived the disaster is now dying off in freak accidents. Sound familiar?

Other than offering up a few inventive death scenes, the film looks pretty dull. This is a franchise that really needs to die but knowing Hollywood, if this film does well, we can expect to see a few more sequels. Likely only die hard fans of the franchise will be checking this one out but if you do decide to go see it, just don’t expect anything new.

Final Destination 5 is being released in 3D on August 12, 2011 and it stars Nicholas D’Agosto, Emma Bell, Miles Fisher, Arlene Escarpeta and Tony Todd. Check out the trailer and plot summary below.

In this fifth installment, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.
