New Hi-Res Stills From Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Blast Online

Fans of Marvel have certainly been spoiled these past few weeks. The studio has been busy promoting two of its biggest upcoming releases and have been more than generous in what they've given us. Between new trailers for both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, there's been a lot to pour over lately, and it doesn't look like that'll change any time soon.

Fans of Marvel have certainly been spoiled these past few weeks. The studio has been busy promoting two of its biggest upcoming releases and have been more than generous in what they’ve given us. Between new trailers for both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, there’s been a lot to pour over lately, and it doesn’t look like that’ll change any time soon.

That’s because Marvel has released a batch of hi-res stills from the latter film today, giving us a better look at some of the moments from both the second and first trailer. There’s nothing new here as far as we can tell, but it’s nice to re-visit some of the footage that we’ve already seen and spend a bit more time with the titular heroes. Especially the adorable Baby Groot, who’s been one of the biggest talking points coming out of the marketing campaign so far.

Marvel has been placing a pretty big focus on the character and it’s easy to see why. He completely stole the show during the last trailer and fans have already fallen head over heels for him. In fact, there’s even been rumors of a potential spinoff for Groot and Rocket somewhere down the road. It’d be best to not get too excited for that one just yet though, as the studio hasn’t even acknowledged it – the idea came from Vin Diesel, who tends to get ahead of himself sometimes.

For now, we can all look forward to what appears to be another wild adventure for the team. And if James Gunn is to be believed, the film won’t have to worry about building up the MCU like seemingly every other Marvel movie does. This means that the director won’t have to waste too much time in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 setting up the events of Avengers: Infinity War beyond perhaps the odd mention of what Thanos has been up to – and that’s certainly a good thing.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theatres on May 5th, 2017 and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kurt Russell.
