Ice Age 4 Trailer Proves Scrat Will Never Give Up On That Acorn

A new trailer for the fourth (yes, fourth) movie in the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift was released earlier this week, and surprise surprise, it features Scrat the saber-tooth squirrel on his never-ending quest for his elusive acorn. Not exactly an innovative movie for a film series that uses nearly identical trailers for each new release.

Are these movies really still making money?

A new trailer for the fourth (yes, fourth) movie in the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift was released earlier this week, and surprise surprise, it features Scrat the saber-tooth squirrel on his never-ending quest for his elusive acorn. Not exactly an innovative movie for a film series that uses nearly identical trailers for each new release.

I remember seeing the first Ice Age trailer when I was 10, and even then I was not impressed. If I recall correctly, Scrat and the acorn aren’t really in the movie that much, which makes these trailers even more annoying.

The film, out July 13th, features the voices of John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, and Denis Leary as Sid the Sloth, Manny the Mammoth, and Diego the Sabre-Toothed Tiger. This time the gang faces off with a group of pirates as they head out to the high seas, presumably because of continental drift. Interestingly, Nicki Minaj, Aziz Ansari, Heather Morris and Jennifer Lopez will also provide their voices to the film.

While I will never understand the success of this series, at least the kiddies like it.

What do you guys think of the trailer? Do you like the Ice Age series? Let us know in the comments.
