Here are the first two images of Neighborhood Watch, an upcoming science-fiction comedy directed by The Lonely Island‘s Akiva Shaffer and written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Each of the film’s stars – Richard Ayoade, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill – have left their mark on Hollywood comedy, be that in the “frat pack,” the recent surge of raunchy comedies or the more indie sector of American comedy, almost spanning generations.

Neighborhood Watch features four dudes seeking to escape their families by forming a neighborhood watch group, who inadvertently uncover some sort of secret plot to destroy the world.

In addition to those depicted below, Neighborhood Watch also co-stars Billy Crudup, Will Forte and others. I’m not an enormous fan of Schaffer’s most recent film, Hot Rod, but I recognize him as a good writer, and I love almost the entire cast of this film. I definitely have high hopes for it.
