Kill List director Ben Wheatley’s next film might just be his most exciting yet, as he teams up with Tom Hiddleston for a big screen adaptation of the J.G. Ballard novel High-Rise.

Set in 1975, the movie documents the shocking breakdown of class and social structures within a brand-new high-tech London apartment building as its residents, including Laing (Hiddleston), slowly give in to their more animalistic impulses, turning the building into a bacchanalian den of iniquity.

The impressive cast also includes names like Luke Evans (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Elisabeth Moss, (Mad Men), and Sienna Miller (American Sniper), and it’s set to premiere at Fantastic Fest later this month.

Today, two new images have been released, and they’re both rather ominous and intriguing. With no firm UK or US release date currently set though, who knows when a trailer will find its way online. Wheatley is no doubt hoping that High-Rise picks up a distributor and pencils in a solid release following its premiere at Fantastic Fest and later screenings at BFI London Film Fest. Its fate will likely come down to how well-received the movie is, though with a cast this good, it’s hard to imagine it somehow never seeing the light of day!

Along with the two latest stills, all of the previously released High-Rise images can also be found in the gallery below.
