That time-trusted scoopster El Mayimbe is still up to his old tricks, and on the heels of his unveiling of some sweet Captain America: Civil War concept art yesterday, the former Latino-Review staffer has returned with a clearer look at the new armor Iron Man will be donning to take on the First Avenger in next year’s Marvel blockbuster.
Many are saying that the armor appears to resemble the Mark 46 – aka “Bleeding Edge” – armor from the comics. That mark arrived back in 2010 in Invincible Iron Man #25 and was inspired by the armor that moviegoers saw in Marvel’s first Iron Man movie. Check out the front-facing shot right here:
This is just the latest piece of concept art that El Mayimbe (real name Umberto Gonzalez) has released into the blogosphere. He’s also brought us a Wonder Woman pic with the Amazonian princess ready for battle, and a clear shot of the Batwing from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. There’s really no one else working in the comic-book journalism field today who has been as consistently successful in breaking scoops as this guy, and that doesn’t appear to be slowing down as he launches his new site.
Captain America: Civil War opens a year and a day from now, on May 6, 2016.

This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.
