Jeremy Renner reveals the hilarious ‘get well soon’ message he got from Paul Rudd

Jeremy Renner shared the quirky video clip Paul Rudd sent to cheer him up when he was recovering from a near-fatal accident.

Jeremy Renner shared a touching anecdote about the creative way his friend Paul Rudd sent him well wishes during his arduous recovery after a snow plow accident in January.

The courageous Mayor of Kingstown star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live using a cane for support, and spoke joyfully about Rudd’s efforts to cheer him up during his convalescence, where he shared a video clip he received from Rudd.

“He came by a couple of times in the hospital, always making my day because he’s one of the funniest guys around, right?”

Renner went through a long and challenging healing process, and he revealed that his friend found a quirky way to keep the laughs coming.

“He sent me a video message. Does anybody know Cameo? Where you pay money and get some movie star to say, ‘Hey, Happy Birthday!’ So, he made a fake one – I didn’t even ask him to – like I paid him money for a Cameo and… I think I sent you the clip.”

Rudd’s video appeared on screen with The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star wearing a somber expression and telling his pal:

“Hey, Jerry, I heard you’re a little banged up. Got in a fight with a snow blower, apparently. Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart, and I hope you’re feeling better. It sounds like you are. Apparently, you’re a pretty tough guy. So, maybe I’ll get to meet you one day. Wouldn’t that be something! In the meantime, take care and take it easy for a while. Next time, maybe just let the snow melt, okay? Feel better Jerry!”

Renner affectionately held up his hands and formed a heart shape after Rudd’s video aired. However, Rudd wasn’t the only celebrity to offer encouragement after the MCU veteran sustained life-threatening injuries in January. The star’s family and friends rallied around him as he recuperated after the near-fatal accident in January. Stars including Chris Pratt, Penelope Cruz, Taika Waititi, Vanessa Hudgens, Orlando Bloom, and Kate Beckinsale cheered him on as he fought his way back to health.

Fellow Avenger Chris Hemsworth tweeted a message of support earlier this week after the Hawkeye star made his first post-recovery public appearance on Good Morning America. Nevertheless, fans were captivated by Rudd’s sweet and steadfast support of his friend.

Some couldn’t help but feel amused by Rudd’s wonderfully silly and innovative approach to raising Renner’s spirits.

Renner’s recovery touched the hearts of many. He received high praise from fans who felt inspired by his recovery journey.

Some fell a little bit more in love with Paul Rudd.

The cherry on top of the funny clip was an adorable photo posted by a fan of a grinning Renner with Rudd’s arm slung around his shoulders.

Renner and Rudd are in the throes of a winning bromance, and it’s touching to see. They share the kind of bond that can outlast the hard times. Rudd’s charming way of distracting Renner from a lengthy road to recovery is a magnificent example of true friendship.
