John Wick Director Reveals That Chapter 4’s Already In Development

In a Q&A session on Reddit, John Wick director Chad Stahelski hinted that a fourth entry in the seires may already be in the works.

The third movie in the action-packed John Wick franchise is set to hit theaters in just a couple of days, and the fever pitch has hit an all-time high. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the third entry in the series, with many thinking the eponymous assassin will hang up his pistols soon. However, that might not be the case. Lead actor Keanu Reeves has expressed his interest in returning for more movies, and recently, director Chad Stahelski hinted at a fourth film, which might already be in the works.

As reported by ComicBook.com, Stahelski took to Reddit earlier this week as part of a scheduled AMA (Ask Me Anything). Over the course of a couple of hours, he answered plenty of questions posted by fans, and also shed some light on the future of the series. In a few responses, Chad suggested that box office performance and audience demand would play a part, but he changed his tune later on, hinting that a fourth film was already in the works.

When asked about which movie was the most difficult to direct and choreograph, Stahelski had this to say:

“All of them, each for their own individual reasons. 1 was difficult because we didn’t understand what we wanted to do, quite. Number 2, we had to map up a whole world we didn’t think of before. 3, how do we expand and get the audience something creative, not just bigger and cooler. Number 4, I’m certain, will be more difficult.”

Of course, this is by no means an official confirmation, but if his response is anything to go by, it looks like John Wick fans will have plenty to look forward to in the future. Aside from another a potential fourth film, a John Wick video game is in the works – with indie developer Mike Bithell in charge – and recent Fornite leaks have hinted at new suits and in-game events.

But first, we’ve got Chapter 3 to get excited about, which arrives in theaters this weekend and has already found itself with plenty of glowing reviews.
