Production on J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World 2 is starting to heat up now. Said to be much bigger than its predecessor, with a script that will take the story into uncharted territory, anticipation for the sequel is slowly building and as the project gets ready to head in front of cameras next month, Universal continues to fill out the cast.

Earlier this week, we learned that Danielle Pineda had boarded the blockbuster and now, we’re receiving word of a very interesting bit of casting. A European source tipped us off that world famous DJ Dimitri Vegas is eyeing a role in Jurassic World 2. Though it hasn’t been confirmed by the studio just yet, what makes this intriguing is that both him and producer Frank Marshall Tweeted out a photo of a meeting that took place a few days ago.

Check it out below:

It’s not hard to put two and two together, and according to our source, Vegas and Marshall did indeed meet to discuss a part in the sequel. Though he’s primarily known for being one half of DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Vegas, real name Dimitri Thivaios, is now hoping to break into acting and has signed with CAA. From what we hear, he wouldn’t have a terribly large role in Jurassic World 2 – no surprise there – but he’s met with Marshall and given that they both shared their photo together on Twitter, we imagine things went well.

While those in the dance music scene will certainly have some strong opinions on the DJ, he hasn’t yet had a chance to prove himself as an actor, so this could be an interesting route for him to head down. We’re not sure how exactly he could factor into things when it comes to Jurassic World 2, but we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to seeing him show up in a small part.
