Latest Marvel News: Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine looks to be more violent than ever in ‘Deadpool 3’ as Dave Bautista indicates Drax’s MCU fate

Expect lots of blood and gore, bubs.

Today in the Marvel universe, Hugh Jackman is up to his old tricks as he potentially spoils another major Deadpool 3 detail while dunking on Ryan Reynolds for the umpteenth time. Meanwhile, Dave Bautista’s devastatingly dismissive comments about the MCU suggest things aren’t going to end well for Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Last but not least, Quantumania isn’t spreading as fast as Kevin Feige might be hoping. Let’s begin…

Hugh Jackman might just be promising that Logan will have even more of a ‘berserker rage’ in Deadpool 3

Hugh Jackman is never one to waste an opportunity to light-heartedly lay into his pal and soon-to-be co-star Ryan Reynolds, but his latest attempt to do so may have seen him let slip more than he intended. No, this isn’t about him potentially outing the real title of Deadpool 3. In a new interview, the Australian actor said he can’t wait to “punch the sh*t out” of Reynolds “every day” once filming on the movie begins. Is it just us, then, or is Jackman promising that we’ll be getting a more violent Wolverine than ever as he hops into the MCU? Well, the comic book character is traditionally described as possessing a “berserker rage,” so it would make sense for Marvel to restore him to factory settings like that. Fingers crossed we get Hugh in the classic suit to boot.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out next month, and Marvel fans are wondering when they’re going to start caring

The MCU is currently in limbo, but Phase Five officially kicks off next month with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is hitting theaters on Feb. 17. And, considering that that’s only a few weeks away, Marvel fans have asked a question that’s pretty concerning: when are they going to start caring? The more jaded franchise followers out there are arguing that the studio is failing to excite them for the Paul Rudd starrer with arguably lackluster promotion. Apparently, the promise of Jonathan Majors rising up as Kang the Conqueror just isn’t enough on its own. Let’s hope Marvel knocks out some further teasers and promos in the coming weeks that can prevent this hype train from derailing.

Dave Bautista’s dismissive Marvel comments suggest a bleak future for Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Dave Bautista has made no secret of the fact he’s putting Marvel in his rearview mirror, even going so far as to say he’s done with “silly” roles like Drax. So with there seemingly being no chance he’ll return to the MCU, that’s only got us thinking… does that mean Drax could die in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? While the big money has traditionally been on Rocket being the one not to make it out of the upcoming threequel alive, killing Drax off instead may actually be the smarter move, as it might restore some of the tragic edge the character has lost over the years. Although, knowing how much James Gunn loves to break our hearts, there’s nothing stopping him taking the lives of both beloved team members. Basically, prepare yourselves for waterworks come May 5.
