Twitch is reporting that actor Luke Evans has been offered the villain role in Fast Six aka Fast and Furious 6. The role was reportedly set to go to Jason Statham, until he dropped out.

Evans is the latest name to be tossed around in regards to Fast Six casting. Gina Carano recently joined and Rihanna is in talks to hop on board as well. She’s actually in discussion to play a villain role though it’s unclear whether it’s the same role that Evans was offered. Either way, it seems like things are moving full steam ahead as the film gears up for its Summer shoot.

Truthfully, I’m not sure I can see Evans really fitting into the film, but apparently someone does. It’s not that he’s a bad actor but he’s just not who I expected to see playing the villain in a Fast and Furious film. Admittedly, he’s had his fair share of experience with action films but I’m just not sure that he’ll make a believable enough villain.

What about you? Do you want to see Evans take the role?
