Marvel Fans Are Loving Tom Holland’s Hilarious Attempt To Be Sexy

Tom Holland simultaneously embarrassed himself and reminded us all why he has such a large and loving fanbase in a recent Instagram story that saw the Spider-Man: Far From Home star’s attempt to look sexy end with him accidentally smelling his own dog’s excrement.

The new video sees the actor wandering through a park with his canine Tessa while he discusses topics ranging from his experience of meeting famous people to his resolution to read more books this year. But the moment that’s got people talking is when Holland reaches up to adjust his beanie hat with the same hand that he’s using to carry a bag of Tessa’s poop, causing the star to get an up-close whiff of the stuff. The clip is captioned, “Tryna be sexy.”

Of course, there was no way the internet was going to let the incident pass them by without comment, and so fans took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the moment:

Holland has long earned the affection and sympathy of the public with such endearing moments of awkwardness. The actor is particularly notorious for accidentally dropping Marvel spoilers, though Avengers: Infinity War co-director Joe Russo admitted last year in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that “you can never be punitive toward Tom Holland” because he’s “the nicest guy in the world.”

Indeed, there’s a reason why Peter Parker’s Infinity War death is often singled out as one of the saddest moments of the fatality-heavy film, but since Marvel Studios knows what their audience wants, you can expect Holland to return to our screens when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019, before Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5th.
