Variety is reporting that Reese Witherspoon is on the verge of collaborating with Nancy Meyers for indie comedy, Home Again.

Witherspoon, who was all set to team with Meyers for The Intern before a last-minute scheduling conflict forced the actress to bow out, is set to anchor the upcoming picture as a single mother who decides to uproot for the bright lights of Los Angeles where she finds herself living with three eccentric young men – an unconventional family worthy of a sitcom if there ever was one.

Though Nancy Meyers is attached to produce, it is actually her daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer, that will take point from behind the lens. No word on which actors will fill the roles of Witherspoon’s newfound roommates, but we’ll keep you updated as Home Again preps to enter production in Los Angeles next month.

Beyond that, we know that Reese Witherspoon remains attached to the long-gestating live-action Tinker Bell movie over at Disney – part of the House of Mouse’s renewed drive for modernized fairytales in the vein of Alice in Wonderland and, soon, Beauty and the Beast – all the while setting up Pale Blue Dot for Fox Searchlight.

Home Again is currently without a release date, but barring any major setbacks, expect Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s dramedy to enter theaters at some point next year.
