First Official Look At Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem

Terry Gilliam is currently hard at work on his upcoming sci-fi film The Zero Theorem and unfortunately, we haven't seen too much of the film just yet. We know that it has a stellar cast, with Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Ben Wishaw and Matt Damon leading the way. We're also very intrigued by the plot, which follows an "eccentric and reclusive computer genius plagued with existential angst works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence." But our knowledge of the film stops there. We did get a few "unofficial" clips last month but those were swiftly removed.

Terry Gilliam is currently hard at work on his upcoming sci-fi film The Zero Theorem and unfortunately, we haven’t seen too much of the film just yet. We do know that it has a stellar cast, with Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Ben Wishaw and Matt Damon leading the way. We’re also very intrigued by the plot, which follows an “eccentric and reclusive computer genius plagued with existential angst works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence.” But our knowledge of the film stops there. We did get a few “unofficial” clips last month, but those were swiftly removed.

This week though, we finally get our first look into the crazy sci-fi world that Gilliam has in store for us as Empire has posted a couple photos from the film. Additionally, for those who are lucky enough to be in attendance at the San Diego Comic-Con, Gilliam sent over the first 10 minutes of his film. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been made available online just yet and until it is, these pictures will have to do.

Though we don’t see much here, what’s shown is appropriately wild and wacky and feels very much like a Terry Gilliam film. I’m really liking the vibe I’m getting from these photos and now more than ever I can’t wait to see the first footage from the film. I love Gilliam and I think he has created some brilliant films in the past. Brazil is one of my favorite movies of all time and I’ll watch absolutely anything that he makes.

Check out the images below and let us know what you think of The Zero Theorem so far? Does it look like another hit for Gilliam? Head down to the comments and share your opinion.
