Samuel L. Jackson Says The Avengers Will Have To Come Back

In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Samuel L. Jackson said that there'll be a new threat for the Avengers to take on, and Nick Fury can sense it.

Avengers Endgame

When it comes to following up Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has had a lot to think about. And the decision was recently made that the week before their next big release, Spider-Man: Far From Home, an extended version of Endgame would hit select theaters again – surely a push to surpass Avatar at the worldwide box office.

With that in mind, this’ll probably be the last time we see the Avengers on the big screen for quite a while. And after the Russo Brothers’ three-hour galactic epic, there are probably plenty of people who could use a breather from the franchise.

However, Samuel L. Jackson’s apparently not one of them. In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, the man behind the eye patch said he doesn’t believe Marvel should let the dust settle on their prized franchise.

“I always think that there’s room for every kind of story to be told. And at some point, they’re going to have to put together another Avengers group of some sorts to deal with whatever’s coming next.”

Though he didn’t offer any details as to what exactly is “coming next,” the Oscar-nominated actor did say that whatever it is, it’s already causing some tension in the air.

“Nick [Fury] knows something is coming, the same way he found out in Captain Marvel that there are other things that need to be dealt with that I didn’t know about. This is moving us to another place.”

Perhaps we’ll get a greater sense of what this threat’ll become once Far From Home hits theaters next week. But given that Jon Watts’ latest will bring a close to Phase Three of the MCU, we may have to wait until Phase Four to see what’s in store for the Avengers.

We want to know though, do you have any early predictions? What do you think Jackson’s alluding to in this interview, and when do you think we’ll get our hands on it? Let us know by dropping us a comment below.
