Slip Into Something A Little Crazy With Mashup Trailer For Fifty Shades Joker

Leave S&M at the door - this fan-made trailer marries together the worlds of Fifty Shades Darker and David Ayer's Suicide Squad.

Much like its predecessor before it, Fifty Shades Darker is a romantic drama that tends to attract its fair share of critics – critics that would often ridicule everything from ham-fisted dialog to the performances of its dual leads, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. And that’s before James Foley’s erotic sequel has even slinked into theaters.

Nonetheless, after amassing a record-breaking 114 million trailer views in the first 24 hours after release – higher than even The Force Awakens across the same period – it’d be foolish to overlook the pent-up demand going into Fifty Shades Darker.

But before indulging in the passionate relationship of Ana and Christian once more, this mashup trailer is designed to marry together the movie worlds of Fifty Shades with David Ayer’s Suicide Squad – opposites attract, right? – placing the spotlight on Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and her puddin’, The Joker (Jared Leto).

It’s a fun mashup, combining the stark visuals of Suicide Squad with the seductive voiceover first heard in that aforementioned reveal trailer for Fifty Shades Darker. Besides, considering that Quinn’s intimate connection to the Clown Prince of Crime didn’t get the screentime it arguably deserved in David Ayer’s villainous spinoff – you can thank studio meddling for that one, it seems – this fan-made sizzle reel is the next best thing.

Tell us, what do you think of this unofficial trailer mashup? Did you enjoy it, or would you like to see more videos in the vein of, say, Avengers: Infinity War? Do let us know.
