A couple of days ago, a video was posted to Boyega’s Instagram which saw the Finn actor get arrested by a pair of First Order Stormtroopers during his trip to Disneyland Paris:

The star reflected on this unfortunate incident yesterday, describing his experience as “Messed up,” but in Hamill’s response, the Original Trilogy lead argued that Boyega had only himself to blame:

“Seems like YOU messed up, son.

It’s true that Finn kind of has a habit of getting caught by the First Order, but you can expect to see him back and fighting for the Resistance once more in next year’s Episode IX.

So far, Lucasfilm has offered few details on the character’s role in the upcoming trilogy-closer, but set photos have showed Boyega riding through a rural landscape with Oscar Isaac and Chewbacca, perhaps assisting in the guerrilla warfare teased by Isaac earlier this year. As for Hamill, though Luke Skywalker passed away at the end of The Last Jedi, our hero is scheduled to appear once more in the next film, whether it’s by way of Force Ghost or flashback.

In any case, as 2018 nears its end, a lot of fans are hoping for some further material from the movie before the month is out, whether it’s a full-on trailer, a title reveal, or a behind-the-scenes featurette. A lot of theories are set to be proven wrong or right in the next week, but regardless of what the coming days bring us, we’ll be able to see Finn, Luke, and the rest of the gang back on our screens when Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters on December 20th, 2019.
