Deathstroke Targets The Dark Knight In Awesome Fan-Made Trailer For The Batman

As of right now, very little is known about what we should expect from Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie, which is now officially set to be called The Batman. While the director continues to work on the screenplay with Geoff Johns, one detail which has surfaced is the fact that Deathstroke will play a key role. Whether or not he’ll be the movie’s lead villain remains to be seen, but these two iconic characters squaring off promises to be quite epic.

Not convinced? Well, though some fans have argued that Slade Wilson may not be A-List enough to carry a two hour movie (despite him stealing the show in an entire season of Arrow), this amazing fan-made trailer that you see above gives us a taste of what might be to come in a few years from now, and it’s fair to say that neither The Joker nor Red Hood are needed are here.

Rather than using a random assortment of clips like a lot of these trailers tend to do, this one actually provides a plot outline as we learn that Batman has been framed by the villain and needs to clear his name. Throw in an appearance from Suicide Squad standout Amanda Waller, and it’s fair to say that what we’re left with a Batman movie that a lot of fans would no doubt love to see.

As for the real thing, well, we’re just going to have to wait and see when it comes to the significance of Deathstroke’s involvement and how big of a role he’ll play in the film. However, with Zack Snyder sharing behind the scenes images pointing to him showing up in Justice League as well, the fan-favourite villain may be about to make his presence felt in a big way.

The Batman is currently without a firm release date, but you can expect it to land sometime in 2018. For now, check out the fan-made trailer above and be sure to comment below letting us know your thoughts on it.
