The Dark Knight Rises Gets A PG-13 Rating – For Sensuality

The MPAA has given The Dark Knight Rises a PG-13 rating, just like the rest of the films in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy and almost all of the rest of the movies in the franchise. Perhaps not as fitting: the Dark Knight sequel has been given its rating for "intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language."

“Some sensuality,” hmm? That’s a change for the Nolan films, all of which have been remarkably family-friendly in this category. But where will this “sensuality” surface? Through Anne Hathaway‘s character, maybe?

It doesn’t seem like Bruce Wayne has much time for trivial matters. Plus, he’s probably still getting over Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Or maybe, he’s got lots of time on his hands, he’s forgotten all about her, and he’s got a new lady on his batmind.

Personally, I’m hoping for some romance between Joseph Gordon-Levitt and anyone who isn’t Zooey Deschanel. What do you think? Are you hoping for some racy, Batman action?
