The depths of Fassbender’s performance, which won him best actor at The Venice Film Festival, are on display in both the clip and trailer, proving that he is a shoe-in for an Oscar nomination.

Shame stars Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan and hits limited theaters on December 2nd, 2011.

Shame tells the story of Brandon (Fassbender), a single man who is addicted to sex in any form as long as it does not involve love or intimacy. His ordered lifestyle is thrown into chaos with the arrival of his needy sister (Mulligan).”
