Who Will Play Moriarty In Sherlock Holmes 2?

According to recent rumors, director Guy Ritchie wants actor Daniel Day-Lewis to take the role ofSherlock Holme's nemesis Moriarty, in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes 2. While Day-Lewis isn't the only choice, he is the director's first choice. Other names that have been mentioned for the role are Sean Penn, Javier Bardem and Gary Oldman, all of whom I'd think would make a good Moriarty.

According to recent rumors, director Guy Ritchie wants actor Daniel Day-Lewis to take the role ofSherlock Holme’s nemesis Moriarty, in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes 2. While Day-Lewis isn’t the only choice, he is the director’s first choice. Other names that have been mentioned for the role are Sean Penn, Javier Bardem and Gary Oldman, all of whom I’d think would make a good Moriarty. All these names are just on Guy Ritchie and Warner Bros. wish list and are by no means confirmed. For all we know, the role can end up going to someone not listed here. I think the best choice out of the four names listed above would be Daniel Day-Lewis. He gave some great performances in Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood and he’s consistently amazing in all his roles.

Who do you think should play the role?
