See The World With Ben Stiller In New The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Posters

When The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty was first announced, I'll admit I wasn't all that interested. Usually films based on short stories are nothing to get too thrilled about, and while the films Ben Stiller directs are usually enjoyable, it just wasn't really on my radar. Then the first trailer hit, and that all changed. It was intriguing and showed what seems to be a really interesting and beautiful film. Today, to further promote the movie, a new series of poster has been released, showing Stiller all around the globe, and even beyond it.

When The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty was first announced, I’ll admit I wasn’t all that interested. Usually films based on short stories are nothing to get too thrilled about, and while the films Ben Stiller directs are usually enjoyable, it just wasn’t really on my radar. Then the first trailer hit, and that all changed.

That trailer is one of the best of the year, as it properly balances remaining intriguing and showing off what seems to be a really interesting and beautiful film. Today, to further promote the movie, a new series of poster has been released showing Stiller all around the globe, and even beyond it.

For those who still aren’t familiar with the plot, it’s based on James Thurber’s short story of the same name which tells the story of a day-dreamer (Stiller) who escapes his life by putting himself in a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. Unfortunately, his job and the job of a co-worker (Kristen Wiig) are threatened, forcing Walter to take real action, sending him on a global journey that’s even more extraordinary than anything he could’ve imagined.

I must say, these posters are pretty awesome. They show Stiller traveling from the ocean to the Moon and everywhere in-between. My only complaint is that two of the posters have Stiller in the same pose, but that’s a minor problem that really only matters if you wanted to hang the whole set in a single location.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty also stars Adam Scott, Sean Penn, Kathryn Hahn, Shirley MacLaine, and Patton Oswalt. It hits theaters nationwide Christmas day of this year, but will premiere at NYFF.
