Bridgit Mendler Is Back With New “Atlantis” Music Video

It wasn’t long ago that Bridgit Mendler was one of the biggest up and coming pop artists in the game. The Disney actress-turned-solo artist had a crazy amount of star potential when she released her debut solo album, Hello My Name Is…, back in 2012. Supported by the success of her single, “Ready or Not,” Mendler had it all, but there wasn’t much happening on the music end after the record, and eventually, she left Hollywood Records. Now, Mendler is finally getting the wheels turning on new material and just released the music video for her new single, “Atlantis.”

The artist is near unrecognizable on the “Atlantis” track, as it’s nowhere near the bubblegum hooks everyone was used to years ago. However, she has obviously grown as a songwriter, and “Atlantis” proves that immensely, as the song is mellow and beat-centric with an atmospheric chorus. Mendler is traveling on a bunch of uncharted territory here, while the music video depicts her and some pals breaking in her ex’s house to have a party while he’s passed out asleep.

“Atlantis” is expected to be included on Bridgit Mendler’s first release in four years – an EP entitled Nemesis. The five track EP is scheduled to be out on November 4th and hopefully, it’s what she needs to keep her in the limelight for good.
