Britney Spears Collaborating With Tinashe For Next Single

Britney Spears is finally getting set to promote a new single from her latest record, Glory. Released two months ago, the only official single we’ve seen from it was the G-Eazy assisted, “Make Me…,” and for some reason or another, her team took a while to send something new out to radio. The next track that’ll be getting the single treatment is “Slumber Party” -- but it’ll come with a little twist.

Judging from posts on social media, Spears will be unleashing a new version of “Slumber Party” featuring R&B singer Tinashe. Known for her big track, “2 On,” Tinashe revealed the upcoming song with Spears when she posted on Instagram, calling the pop star her “idol.”

“Slumber Party” is arguably one of the strongest tracks off of Glory, so it’s a smart choice to release that one for mass consumption next. Whether adding Tinashe will improve the song’s quality or not remains to be seen, but given Spears’ past link-ups with Iggy Azalea, Madonna, and Sabi, her track record with other women artists is pretty good.

Not to mention, re-issuing singles with a guest seems to be a well-working strategy: just take a look at Sia’s hit, “Cheap Thrills” – the song re-released with Sean Paul and shot to number one pretty quickly. Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party” could be next in line, but if it ends up not working out, she can always give Justin Timberlake a call for a star-studded collaboration, too.
