Hailee Steinfeld Shows Off “Starving” Music Video

Not every music video needs to be filled with non-stop action – case in point, Hailee Steinfeld. Coming off a summer where she made waves on the charts with the singles “Rock Bottom” and “Starving,” the singer and actress is finally releasing a music video for the Zedd-featured “Starving” track.

There isn’t much going on in the visual to the dance-pop number, but the colors and lights supplement Steinfeld’s choreography as she goes from dancing in a dark warehouse to getting her camouflage on with a leopard print background. Directed by Darren Craig, there’s a lot done here with what appeared to be a small budget, but either way, Steinfeld still ends up rocking it.

Republic Records & Co. probably wanted to wait to drop a music video until now to give “Starving” one last push on the charts. Currently standing at number 16 on the Mainstream Top 40, “Starving” joins Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” to become her second successful single – and there will definitely be more to come in the future.

Additionally, the video release coincides with the conclusion of Hailee Steinfeld’s tour with Meghan Trainor, and there’s certainly no better way to keep the opening act fresh in concert goers’ minds than to come out with a music video for her best song yet.
