As the girls sing their hearts out with the top down in their convertible, they throw various mementos from their past relationships out of the vehicle, and a pit stop to have a pool party makes it all the more therapeutic. The catchy pop jam is widely speculated to about singer Zayn Malik, who Little Mix member, Perrie Edwards, dated until last year. Given the lyrics “Guess I should say thank you for the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos,” and the fact Malik recently covered up a tattoo dedicated to her, it seems like the speculation is spot on.

“Shout Out To My Ex” shot straight to number one on the UK charts, but when it released, it wasn’t without its fair share of drama. The song has drawn a bit of criticism for having a chorus that’s extremely similar to that of fellow girl group G.R.L. and their hit single, “Ugly Heart,” but the charts don’t lie when it comes to which song has been more successful. “Ex” will be featured on Little Mix’s fourth full-length album, Glory Days, which is set for a release on November 18th.
