Few electronic music artists boast as universally celebrated a discography as deadmau5, so the imminent release of his latest album is enough to make most us wait with baited breath. Thanks to one of the progressive house mastermind’s curious fans, we now know that its arrival will soon be upon us.

In recent Twitter interactions, deadmau5 has taken a break from his usual, scathing programming to answer a variety of inquiries. One of his followers asked whether or not the album was finished, to which the ‘mau5 replied:

While no title, track list or release date has been released for the forthcoming album, deadmau5 has released the first single in the form of “Snowcone.” This will be his eighth studio-length effort, following up 2014’s While(1<2).

In the meantime, deadmau5 also has a collaboration with Eric Prydz in the works – and will deliver a monumental live set alongside the Swedish producer at this year’s edition of Tomorrowland Belgium. Needless to say, he hasn’t been a slouch so far in 2016.
