System Of A Down And Deftones Rock North America This Summer

Alt-metal masters System Of A Down and the Deftones are going to team up this summer for a short two-week tour down eastern United States and Canada. Even though only nine dates have been announced, it's always good news to hear that these two awesome bands are back on the road.

Alt-metal masters System Of A Down and the Deftones are going to team up this summer for a short two-week tour down eastern United States and Canada. Even though only nine dates have been announced, it’s always good news to hear that these two awesome bands are back on the road.

System Of A Down notably went on hiatus back in 2006 but have reunited last year for a tour of Western North America as well as doing a few shows in South America and Europe. This year they decided to pay the eastern portion of North America a visit. No word on whether they will be playing any new material since the last thing they released were 2005’s Mezmerize and Hypnotize albums.

Deftones on the other hand has been feverishly working and recording a new album that they believe will come out early fall of this year. Hopefully we’ll get a taste of that upcoming record. Their last record Diamond Eyes was released in 2010 and was named “Rock Album of the Year” by the iTunes Store.

August 14, 2012: DTE Energy Amphitheater – Detroit, MI

August 15, 2012: Allstate Arena – Chicago, IL
