Productions akin to what Daft Punk put together for 2010’s Tron: Legacy accompany electric guitar riffs fit for hair metal ballads throughout Legend. The EP release coincides with that of a comic book of its namesake by the same creator, so it stands to reason that the music is intended to accompany the story of its main character, The Keeper (which also happens to be one of the member’s pseudonyms).

Magic Sword’s debut album, Volume One, came out in 2012 – also with a comic book of the same name. The project gained traction and every copy sold out, necessitating a re-release in 2015.

Legend is but the first in a series of EPs that Magic Sword will release throughout 2016. Each will come out through Steve Angello’s Size Records imprint, and will portray another chapter of The Keeper’s illustrious tale.
