The Vamps Release New Single Featuring Matoma

The Vamps were, at one point, touted to be the next big thing in music. The UK boy band shared a bunch of similarities with acts like One Direction and The Wanted when they hit the scene in 2014 with their debut, Meet the Vamps. It was an endearing record with a ton of bright sides, most notably in “Can We Dance,” a song co-penned by the “24k Magic” star Bruno Mars. However, last year’s follow-up didn’t really make much noise, so the boys decided to head back to square one to see what they could cook up next.

The first offering we’re getting from the new-look Vamps comes in the form of their single, “All Night,” and it seems like they’re back in action. While previous material had a heavy pop-rock presence to it, the fresh track here marks their debut into a more dance-rock sound, and they’re getting help from a prestigious DJ to make the transition a bit smoother. Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma features on “All Night” and makes the track shine. Adding his signature house flare to the pop jam, the song’s chorus is mildly similar to that of Galantis’ new track, “Love On Me.”

“All Night” sort of came out of nowhere, so it probably doesn’t mean that a new album is on the horizon just yet, but the boys have revealed that they’re in the studio finishing one up. For now, The Vamps will be looking to hit it big with “All Night” to try and get their first top ten UK single since their Meet the Vamps era.
