It’s a well-known fact by this point that Colin Farrell will be once again donning all of his complex prosthetics and makeup to reprise his role as The Penguin for a spinoff series to Matt Reeves’ The Batman – and a whole lot of casting news rolled in thick and fast today.

For starters, Deadline reported that Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s Runaways) has been signed to play a lead opposite Farrell and Cristin Milotti. While DC remains tight-lipped about the nature of Feliz’s role, the publication believes him to be a young driver which The Penguin takes a liking to.

Then we have a separate report from Variety, saying that Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Jack Ryan), Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Sand and Fog), and Tony award winner Dierdre O’Connell. Details about the exact characters this trio will be playing are currently non-existent, but it’s fun to speculate.

Around the time James Gunn dropped all of the bombshell details about the future of the DCU and also revealed the release date of The Batman sequel, Colin Farrell got to dishing about some more details about the upcoming sequel series, which is confirmed to be taking place after the events of the first film.
