Jennifer Coolidge is gunning for her second Emmy for ‘The White Lotus’

Jennifer Coolidge is hoping to win another Emmy for her role in 'The White Lotus.'

Jennifer Coolidge is taking a page out of her The White Lotus character Tanya’s book, and instead of spending her life chasing emotionally unavailable men, she’s putting herself in the conversation for the 2023 Emmys.

Variety reports that Coolidge decided to present herself for acknowledgment for the big ceremony this year. Fans were immediately drawn to The White Lotus, and it’s no surprise that she’s not just recognizing her hard work but that she’s hoping the Academy will too.

“Coolidge has chosen to submit herself into the supporting drama actress category for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, Variety has learned exclusively.”

The Emmys actually encourage those in the entertainment industry to nominate themselves in eligible categories, saying, “If you’re eligible, you can — and should — submit yourself for consideration.” While only a certain number of those who are submitted or submit themselves make the nominee list each year, it’s still an honor to be a part of a project so significant that you’re recognized for your talent in any capacity.

The White Lotus is a series that quickly gathered a cult following with iconic one-liners, characters that fans adore, and a story that feels sort of like a twisted version of a world we’re already living in, except we’re not all guests at an exotic resort, which is just a disappointing thought in and of itself.

You can catch up with all things The White Lotus on HBO Max now as we eagerly anticipate news of a third season soon. It’s been too long since we caught up with our favorite resort guests for an exciting round of mischief and their various dysfunctions and exploits.

Here’s to Coolidge; may she continue to wow us for years to come, and may we see her take home another award this year.
