Jessie J Releasing Cover Of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”

Jessie J is getting back into action in terms of new music. After releasing her third full-length, Sweet Talker, back in 2014, she’s been a bit quiet aside from her Pitch Perfect 2 song, “Flashlight” and Ice Age contribution, “My Superstar.” While there isn’t a new album just yet, she’s still going to be releasing something new in the coming days in the form of a cover.

According to AllMusic, Jessie J is set to release a cover of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ classic, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” in partnership with a new campaign from make-up company, Make Up For Ever. Sure, it’s a little more corporate than we’d want, but is there really ever any room to complain about new Jessie J songs? It’s a bit of an interesting track to take on, too, but if you listen to the original, it’s totally possible to imagine her voice instead.

As far as the actual album process goes, Jessie J told Kelly Ripa this past July that she was “ready” to write another record. Nearly six months later, you’d have to figure that progress has been made, but just how much seems to be kept under wraps for now. We’ll have to wait a little while longer for any concrete information, but at least we’ll have this cover to hold us over in the meantime.
